NIFTY50 top gainers and losers The 50-share NIFTY index was bolstered by gains in Adani Enterprises, which surged 2.9% to close at ₹2,408 apiece. It was followed by Shriram Finance, which closed 2.55% higher, after its ESOP Allotment Committee on Wednesday approved the allotment of 91,370 equity shares of face value of ₹2 each, fully paid-up to 125 employees. NTPC (1.8%), Axis Bank (1.64%), and Eternal (1.22%) were also among the top gainers on Thursday. On the flipside, Bajaj Auto lost as much as 1.35% to settle at ₹9,119 per equity share. Infosys settled 1.33% lower as its board of directors is meeting today to consider its fifth share buyback proposal since listing. It was followed by selling in Eicher Motors (-1.14%), Titan Company (-1.12%), and SBI Life Insurance Company (-1.10%), which were among the top losers of the day. NIFTY Midcap 100 top gainers and losers The NIFTY Midcap 100 index rose 0.08% or 44 points to close at 58,043.55 on Thursday. The midcap gauge was supported by buying in Waaree Energies, which soared 7.88%. It was followed by Aurobindo Pharma (5.87%), Bharat Heavy Electricals (3.62%), NHPC (3.32%), and Hindustan Zinc (3.15%), which were among the top winners. On the contrary, BSE Ltd declined as much as 4.52%. The other top laggards included Ola Electric Mobility (-3.32%), Sona BLW Precision Forgings (-2.23%), KPIT Technologies (-1.98%), and Tata Elxsi (-1.53%). NIFTY Smallcap 100 top gainers and losers NSE’s smallcap gauge, NIFTY Smallcap 100, settled flat at 17,875.20. Its top losers included Angel One (-4.91%), Godfrey Phillips India (-3.66%), Nuvama Wealth Management (-3.39%), Zen Technologies (-2.58%), and International Gemmological Institute (-2.56%). On the other hand, Neuland Laboratories (5.15%), Jupiter Wagons (4.04%), Swan Corp (3.83%), Affle 3I (3.53%), and Tata Chemicals (3.25%) were among the top gainers on September 11.
