Benchmark equity indices NIFTY and SENSEX rose on Wednesday as the GST Council meeting is underway. The SENSEX soared 151.43 points to 80,309.29, while NIFTY advanced 0.25% to 24,640.30 at 12:35 pm. From the NIFTY firms, Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Hindalco, Titan, Cipla, IndusInd Bank, ITC and Coal India were among the gainers. However, Infosys, HDFC Life, TCS, Nestle India, Axis Bank, Tech Mahindra and SBI Life were among the laggards. Buzzing stocks on September 3; check list Maruti Suzuki share price: Shares of the automobile manufacturer surged 0.43% to ₹14,906 per unit on the NSE after it launched its latest sport utility vehicle (SUV) Victoris. The vehicle comes with six airbags and a 5-star safety rating. It will also be exported to more than 100 countries. Eternal share price: Shares of Eternal rose 0.76% to ₹324.85 apiece on the NSE after food delivery solutions provider Zomato hiked platform fees by 20% to ₹12 from ₹10 amid the onset of the festive season. Zomato, which is owned by Eternal, has implemented the hike across all cities. The market capitalisation of the company stands at ₹3,13,491.64 crore. Unichem Labs share price: The pharma player has issued a voluntary nationwide recall of Cyclobenzaprine Hydrochloride tablets USP 10 mg in the United States due to mislabelling. "The Cyclobenzaprine 10mg (90ct) label was inadvertently placed on a bottle containing Meloxicam 7.5 mg tablets," the company said in an exchange filing. Following the development, the stock is down 0.6% to ₹503.05 apiece on the NSE. Waaree Energies share price: The solar PV module maker's board has announced the acquisition of 64% of the share capital of Kotson’s Pvt Ltd for ₹192 crore. Kotson’s is engaged in the designing, manufacturing and supplying of advanced transformer solutions. The board also gave its nod for the 100% acquisition of Impactgrid Renewables Private Limited (step-down unit) from Waaree Forever Energies Pvt Ltd (wholly owned subsidiary). Intraday, it climbed as much as 1.54% to ₹3,248.4. Vikran Engineering share price: Shares of EPC player Vikran Engineering debuted at ₹99 a unit on the NSE, reflecting a premium of 2.06% over the issue price of ₹97. At 12.35 pm, it was down 2.75% to ₹96.28. The ₹772 crore IPO, which had received 23.59 times subscription, consists of new equity shares worth ₹721 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of ₹51 crore.
